Sucia Island

We got the anchor & chain put back onto Samadhi when we arrived Thursday evening. We got a late start out of the marina but were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the way over to Sucia. Looking west to the horizon without any islands blocking your view their was still light after 10:30pm! We got the anchor down a little after midnight and were snug in our bed shortly after. Friday was a minus tide so we dinghied over to Ewing Cove to explore. Dan’s parents are here on SloJourn so it’s fun to see the kids play with them as well as have time with grandma & grandpa on their boat. After beach exploring we headed back to the boat for rest time and got the custom brackets for the nav lights installed. The wiring needs to be reworked on the bow but so far so good! Saturday morning we all hiked over to Shallow Bay where the kids stayed with their grandparents for more minus tide exploring while Ashley & Dan hit the trails for a nice 4.5mile run. We also got some great shots of Samadhi (and Ranger) with Mt. Baker in the background.
